Moral of the story, try not to fall over, and don’t take risks in your old age.
Woe, she already seemed like an old lady to me when I was a kid 35 years ago. I’m actually surprised she’s only just passed.
Worked in BT for 18 months up until April and the two most famous customers I dealt with were Jilly Cooper (who I honestly thought was dead) and Ming Campbell. I feel guilty.
For the record, although I mostly dealt with her assistant, she seemed lovely. Loved her sport, had a full works package.

Met her at a party last year and she was so lovely to me & especially to my mum who was a huge fan!
This is such sad news. Her novel riders was the first “grown up” book I ever read.
