I’m pretty tired of reading about complaining about private consumption levels. Everyone spending their won’t grow an economy, especially since a lot of the consumption would be foreign products and services. If consuming would be a solution, every country could just give out money and see economy skyrocket.

We have to invest, develop and produce real goods and services and export them. Make sure productive work is competitive, resources are available etc. Build a real economy.

And yeah, the reason Finns are poor is simply that the whole country is poor yet cost of everything is very high. So when salaries are bad, 25% goes to mandatory pension payments, another 25% as income tax and living expenses such as energy, housing, fuels, car costs etc. it’s obvious normal people simply can’t have money to spend.
