Odd framing, don’t understand what the angle is here.
My only real gripes about her is that she’s quite old, and she stinks at media soundbites. I’ll still be voting for her as the best candidate among this lot.
It’s shocking how poor the quality of candidates has been this time around.

I am voting for Connolly but this is shitty behaviour. The team should know well not to do this and it reflects poorly on her that they didn’t take it down.
Her team likes to spin her as Michael D’s apprentice but it seems Connolly is an apprentice of Michael D in the same way that Darth Vadar was the apprentice of Obi Wan Kenobi. If I was running for public office the last person I would want waiting for me in the long grass is the beloved Michael D.

That video was released about a month ago for the campaign launch and use of stock reel of past presidents is in the context of asking members of the public what attributes they like in a president, nothing about it could be perceived as endorsement?
It reeks of desperation for someone to try and create a story out of this.

The much bigger problem with this video in my eyes is that she’s leaning very very heavily into issues that the president should have no control over and sidestepping that by saying she going to “allow people to use their voice”
If McGoo made the exact same video except it was about immigration, or Stein did the same with some family values shit, people would lose their fucking minds

Man, the Irish media are really outing themselves as biased and manipulative. I have never seen such a clear example as in this presidential campaign.
They are so desperate to spin stories about Connolly and are really grasping at straws to find anything negative. Meanwhile, Humphreys has next to nothing said about her. They talk about Maria Steen more.
Really eye opening.
