The US is demanding the EU water down parts of its green legislation just months after agreeing a tariff pact to avoid an all-out transatlantic trade war.

According to a US government position paper seen by the Financial Times, Washington has asked Brussels to scrap requirements for non-EU companies to provide ‘climate transition plans’.

It has also demanded that the bloc change environmental legislation on supply chains to exclude US companies and others from ‘countries with high-quality corporate due diligence’.

The move is part of a wider bid by Washington to push countries, financial institutions and businesses to roll back their climate change policies, using international forums ranging from the World Bank to stock market regulators.

So It appears accepting the US demands didn’t stop the US from making more demands. Who could have seen this coming?

Of course. They want the world to be desperate for the petrodollar and sell their oil. Let’s destroy the world so a few people can stay rich

No way in hell this wont be vetoed.

The fact that food safety standards protect us from US style vulture capitalism practices with food are the one thing most Europeans agree on.

This is why when Trump decided to destabilise the world economy with his “Liberation Day” tariffs the whole world should have collectively said:

“Oh, reciprocal you say? Fair enough, we will impose an identical tariff on US exports – good day”

No negotiations, no divide and conquer. Trump should just get the middle finger from everyone.

    7. Chaos and instability seems to be the goal of the US, so the rich and corrupt can profit

The EU should do an India – Ignore and seek alternative markets. Last time it was trump trying to force antiDEI or else… that went nowhere.

So one day you strike a deal, and the next, there’s more demands. The Trump administration has the attention span of a toddler.

Time to play hardball and strengthen ties with the rest of the world. The US is a lost cause and will slide into dictatorship or civil war soon anyways.

The United Nations should sanction the US for its environmentally despicable policies, not the other way around.

We’re thrashing the planet and ruining our children’s future to make business with a fraudster and a manipulator.

This is beyond absurd. Humanity wake up before it’s really too late!

Please EU, be strong enough to tell these bullies where to go.

Can’t wait for the day we can cut our ties to that country.

While ractopamine is almost prohibited everywhere on Eurasia continent, nor EU, China or Russia allows using such substances in animal husbandry, US doesn’t prohibit that.

Until they pass any regulations to bansuch usage nationwide, I won’t have any US meat product in my shopping list.

    14. Looks like US is creating lot of opportunities outside it’s borders…

Can we demand US to shut the fuck up? Yes? No? Please? I am tired of reading and hearing their bullshit, it’s not funny anymore.
