So now _the people_ get to lobby instead of big businesses with their big bucks?
Democracy, I’d say.

Eu politicians: why are these peasants contacting me???
I only want to be contacted by rich billionaire who will donate to me or lobbyists who will also perform something in return!!

The EU politicians are screened off a lot for the media and normal people as it is. Running from their responsibilitys for years.

Why are we giving attention to politico? It’s owned by a crazy billionaire MAGA right-winger who loves surveillance like all the MAGA shitheads do. Of course politico would be negatively reporting on the poor peasants’ fight chat control campaign.

Not a dialog because some politicians stopped responding. Do these idiots forget it is politicians who get elected to serve the people? Combined with some remarks from politicians related to this legistlation, namely the Danish minister who stated encryption ergo privacy should not be a universal right, the fucking gall.
Take notes people and see who is actually engaging in meaningful dialog and doing their jobs as elected officials.

This article is so funny. It’s a hilarious attempt to try and delegitimise the opposition by talking about it not being a real discourse and a proper conversation. Oh, because people don’t agree with you, it’s therefore not onside? Citizens getting mobilised to tell me about why they don’t like this proposal is spamming me? Give me a break…
salomo926 on
This is so funny and interesting. They (capital lobbyists and its consistently right-wing supporters like politico) seem to be genuinely annoyed by the fact that so many people sent emails, even framing it as “spam”.
And, most important takeaway: Being annoying works!

Wow, what complete and totall bullshit!
Chat Control scans every image on your device proactively, compules the perceptual hash, for which it scans its database. That’s not *”as a last resort”*. LOL

“Trying to pass a European bill aimed at stopping child sexual abuse material from spreading online.” it is not about child abuse it is about massive and global surveillance. This is unacceptable we didn’t vote for you to do that EU Rep.
Those politicians in favor of chat control are simply abusing children to turn europe into an surveillance state and undermine democracy, unacceptable.
Remember last year when Ylva Johannson and Ashton Kutsher tried to get rich with CSAM? With Selling the Filters?

Oh, funny. So if big lobbyists come around it’s fine, but as soon as they get real feedback from people living in the EU, it’s now bad, blocking others and forcing autoreply?

I love that each time they are caught red handed at destroying rights to privacy “child abuse porn” emerges within two sentences. Ten years ago we would have had “islamic terrorism”.
It’s like DNA testing. It was introduced into french law for wait for it …. terrorist and pedophiles. Now yellow jacket and enviromentalists are regularly condemned for refusal to have their DNA collected. The trick is, they ask “do you want your DNA to be collected for your DNA profile to be stored in databases you cannot access to ?”. If you answer “No”, they forcibly collect the DNA sample anyway but you just commited a crime. Ain’t that neat ?

Hilarious. This is exactly how various campaigning organisations have worked for decades – making it easy for people to send petitions straight to politicians’ inboxes. This one just happened to get a lot of traction. Politico is reporting it almost as if it were some kind of groundbreaking scandal.

Good. They should be facing a tsunami of messages daily until Chat Control is dead.

Eurochild can go fuck themselves. Eurochild is one of the anti-encryption groups lobbying in favor of Chat Control, so they can go fuck themselves. Joachim shouldn’t be feeling bad about drowning out extremist groups like Eurochild.

It’s honestly a shame that such a website is not made available to the people by the EU itself.
You’d think politicians would actually want such a thing so they can hear their constituents.
But I suppose I’m assuming they’d actually want to do the work they’re paid to do.

How is this “one-man”? The visitors, genuine EU citizens who all oppose this shit-stained bill, are the ones sending the e-mails. This is way more representation than the usual lobbyists.
