      > Rishi Sunak has taken up paid adviser roles at tech giant Microsoft and artificial intelligence start-up Anthropic…

No surprises there. For those curious, Anthropic is an OpenAI spin-off, founded in 2021 and according to Wikipedia “is the fourth most valuable private company globally, valued at over $183 billion.”

But there’s definitely no AI bubble.

Anthropic has so far been sued by the music industry, the book publishing industry and Reddit for copyright infringement, also holding the record for the largest copyright infringement payout in history ($1.5bn to settle the book case).

It is also working with Palantir and AWS to run AI systems for the US Military.

On the other hand, apparently they were ethical enough to refuse to work with Sam Altman any more…

Well, the guys a robot, so if anyone knows about AI, it’s him

    3. I’m fairly sure that Sunak has always been an AI character.

Two areas of industry he is uniquely positioned to know nothing about.

Good luck to him. He makes sense as an AI sloop guy. And as Prime Minister’s go we’ve had far far worse.

Its the same Goldman Sachs – White House – Goldman Sachs cycle playing out in UK smh

    10. We all knew he was going to fail upwards it shouldn’t be a shock. Politicians do not give a fuck about us. Intact they could care fucking less.

Not sure he even does it for money, it’s not like he needs more. He does it to do something socially. Maybe he likes the admiration from the board room type people.

Doesn’t mean it’s fine for him to do that, but it doesn’t make any sense for a guy that rich to take money for anything.
