Every day, the explosive ordnance technicians of the National Police in Kharkiv region work with what the war leaves behind – rocket fragments, shells, and most often, downed drones.

These photos show their work with a “Geran-2” drone that crashed in a farmer’s field in the Kharkiv region.

Police inspectors surveyed the area, cleared dry vegetation, and neutralized the warhead of the drone with a controlled detonation.

The police officers note that some people, despite the risks, try to collect explosive debris on their own.

“This can lead to very serious consequences. There have been cases of people, including children, dying,” says explosive ordnance technician Oleksii Poliakov.

There will be a wide variety of very lethal weapons in a variety of conditions that will inevitably hurt many more people.
