I was only thinking about the naming of streets and train stations in Dublin the other day while listening to a podcast about the Easter Rising so this is perfect, thanks.

Very cool, did you use ARC GIS to map them?

Fantastic! What about a movement towards changing the names of the streets named after old English lads?

Jaysus, Dublin street names are a real sausage fest. And what few streets named after women we have, most of them seem to be named after British royals! 🤮
We need more streets name after women, with a focus on Irish women throughout our own history, culture and politics!

Great piece of work. Are there any streets called after women?

My favourite street name in Dublin is Blood Stoney Road.
Sounds gory, but it’s just a lad’s name.
An interesting lad, mind.
If you looked into the people our streets are named after, I bet a lot of them were shitbags either towards the Irish specifically, or in a more general sense. Lots of scope there for a big project to fix that and memorialise more worthy people!
I’ve always thought having Wellington Quay named after a British Prime Minister who (despite being born here) literally hated Ireland and the Irish was a real slap in the face.

Doris street named after my 1st cousin (3 times removed)
Named after William Doris (Westport) Co founder of the mayo news members of the UK parliament and mentor of the Irish land league

Just fyi on Cathedral Street, funnily enough I was looking it up last week and it was 1900 that it was changed to that (from Tyrone Place, and before that Elephant Lane).
