Well unicorns were promised in the sunlit uplands after Brexit.
Which doesn’t mean much because there is no path to expand these startups into British owned wealth creating companies.
Best outcome, is a tech bro buys them up and makes them American. Which doesn’t help the UK.
in sheer numbers tho, NYC has more unicorns than London, we’re doing better than EU but are nowhere close to the States.
NYC also has a bigger Entertainment and Fashion scene, while Banking too is slightly bigger than London
This isn’t a surprise. We have always been good at building startups and then selling them. Then they end up coming good, and we have to pay to use the service
