Universities are struggling due to stay afloat & are cutting costs, leading to worse teaching as the good lecturers & teachers go elsewhere, so of course, the government in their fine wisdom thinks cutting their revenues will help incentivise better teaching when all the staff that are good teachers will go elsewhere for better pay if a uni that’s struggling can’t pay due to the lower tuition fees.
