Io e alcuni amici stiamo programmando un viaggio attraverso la Scandinavia per beneficenza, la seconda parte di un percorso infantile.
Quando lo abbiamo fatto in precedenza, in gran parte attraverso l’Europa centrale, era troppo facile nonostante le nostre previsioni. Pensiamo che la Scandinavia rappresenterà una bella sfida, soprattutto se il tempo è interessante, quindi spero di ricevere qualche consiglio sul momento giusto per farlo.
Lo faremo con auto di merda, in stile Mongol Rally, e non avremo paura di una guida imprecisa. Idealmente vorrei farlo con della neve decente. Voglio evitare l’assenza di neve e anche la pioggia incessante, senza che sia apertamente pericolosa.
Quale sarebbe il periodo migliore dell’anno per questo? Apprezzo che il tempo sia difficile da prevedere, ma sarei grato per qualsiasi indicazione.

Winter would be a good choice if you want snow. Preferably late winter, like march or early april, lots of snow and lots of daylight above the arctic circle.
Driving through Norway allmost without seeing the West coast, is like ordering a tomahawk steak and only eating the bone.

Do it in the middle of winter, the weather will be interesting. The northern part will be done in complete darkness for the most part.
Early spring, the northern part at least will still be winter. But it won’t be dark all the time.
The traditional Dick and Balls route through Scandinavia.
Boring route, unless you only want to see deep forrest. If you want the best Norwegian nature, I would strongly recommend doing western parts of Norway

Yeah, no, it’s a meh route. Skip sweden. Start in oslo and go straight up as in the map, then go to finland, come back to norway and drive all of the coast from north to south (stavanger). Anytime in march-april-mai-june.
Damn, that’s a lot of forest.
Out of all the roads you can drive in these three countries, the coast of Norway have the most interesting ones. So try to include the west coast of Norway in your updated plan.
The Gulf of Bothnia is less dramatic and scenic.
I suggest you spend much longer time going north along the coast of Norway, and skip driving around in the finish forest for a week on the way south.
