If the Daily Fail was forced to correct every bit of misinformation it puts out the whole paper would cease to exist

It seems like the Daily Mail has been getting worse. There have always been articles that dog-whistle/hint in order to manipulate people who don’t know any better. Things have really become worse lately.

It’s because of the US version of the Daily Mail. Insane lies about science, politics, and famous women, etc, have been a problem in the US for decades, but ever since the lockdowns, our charlatans have realized they can use the same methods to manipulate our thick. There are thousands of comments on most articles and nearly all of them are completely nuts.

We all need to wake up and start fighting anti-vaxxers, anti-abortionists, judge-haters, and the kind of people who spread extreme misinformation about the issues in the Middle East, etc, because we are fast getting the kinds of problems and politicians the US has.

Damage is already done. More people read the fake headlines / claims that the tiny corrections. I always think the corrections should be given as much prominence as the original story

The DM comment section is about as anti-vax (anti-science even) as they come. DM just panders to their audience. They just lap the bullshit up.

Corrections should take up as much space as the original lie.
