This is great. There was a doctor on newstalk not too long ago saying it was overprescribed, when in reality it is vastly underprescribed here. Somebody needs to show him this!
And GPs here turn down post menopausal women that ask for HRT constantly.
Still hear a lot of women say HRT should be avoided as it’s ‘not natural’. Menopause is natural but the benefits of estrogen (and testosterone) to a woman’s wellbeing are clear.
This makes a huge amount of sense. Hrt is needed because we have hormone deficiency, just like we take vitamin supplements for vitamin deficiency.
Sex hormone deficiency can have a major impact on all areas of the body. Brain fog, forgetfulness, mood changes, depression, anxiety, and concentration issues are due to changes in the brain during perimenopause and can become permanent and decline.
Menopause changes the structure of the brain, hrt protects against that.
And less likely to kill husband too.
