On one hand, it’s long long long overdue; on the other hand, one can’t be just stripped from Ukrainian citizenship, and I can envision this guy winning in the court.
Why not just unfreeze the numerous cases (including the criminal ones) that are against this guy? There are many reasons to kick him from office and put him in a jail, so why they choose the least legitimate one?
If he were on the other side, he’d have fallen out a window and end of issue.
Zelensky does the correct and legal thing that can be argued about in court at a later date.
When you treat ‘political enemies’ like this, it’s even more reason to support Ukraine.
I’d be more concerned with him defecting and giving over any additional strategic information to Russia. This is kinda like the situation with the EU and Hungary. Keeping them around because it’s better than them joining Russia outright.
