Trips to Fota wildlife park only allowed with a substantial meal.

This is really sad, poor animals and staff, must be hard on the keepers to see the animals you’ve spent your days caring for being destroyed.

      This seems quite serious.

For some of us, it was coming a while.
I was involved in a swan rescue where local vets wouldn’t take her in to be humanely put down, as they were worried about avian flu and its spread in the clinic.

Had to get transport for her to Enniskillen to find a vet who would put her down.

In case anyone’s wondering, she couldn’t fly or move about much.

We were worried she’d have a horrible death by a fox if left on her own too long, hence putting her down safely and quickly.
