I find that was quite a good idea, the loss from the membership could surely be recovered on tourists choosing the rain over the car, or car owners taking the train more frequently.
It’s sad that SBB misses that opportunity to have the half price as the normal price for everyone

Customer-focused company ? SBB ?
Don’t take it the wrong way, but as long as you don’t provide your credentials (Who are you? What is your position?) and don’t prove that you have any say in the Halbtax, I cannot believe you anything. Not because I don’t want to believe you, but because you are – as far as I know – just a simple worker at SBB who has *nothing to do at all* with the decision.
Edit: “and as a customer-focused company, we have absolutely no reason to get rid of it.” That’s a nice thing of you to say and I do believe that you and the other employees at SBB think the same. But at the end of the day, if C-level gets too much pressure from politics, money-wise, they might definitely find a reason to get rid of it, even if you yourself and your colleagues are costumer-focused.
While he says a reduction might stay but not that it keeps beeing 50%. I dislike his way to say all is open…
I can’t see a clear say to keep Halbtax!
