Rather than dozens of stock exchanges with different regulations, one stock stock exchange with one set of rules and one big capital market is so obviously what’s needed.

I support this as long as there is also a single set of regulations.

That’s an interesting idea, and a logical one if you do your homework on the european capital markets union.
There is already a quasi european stock exhange, which is Euronext. By merging Euronext withe Dax you would already all but have a pan european one.
As for the footsie, i don’t believe it will happen
