Still, even with male average lifetime of 79.6 years, we must remember that at least previously the age where males have a sickness or injury seriously affecting life (elämää merkittävästi haittaava vamma tai sairaus) was 58 years. That has traditionally been the age where you propably can’t do all stuff anymore, and potential end of “good life” on the average. For females that age was traditionally about 10 years higher. What are these ages on the average nowadays? Sorry, can’t find source for the 58 years, so that is based on my memory.

Good because I plan to die in my office at 102
Now this is a great reason for the government to raise the retirement age /s
Can’t wait to work until I am 75 years old!
Leave it to r/Finland to make life expectancy rising a negative thing
No way today’s youth will end up living longer than those who are in their 50s today
Lazy Finns don’t want to work and live easy off welfare propping those numbers up.
I can’t
That’s great. For a while the life expectancy was going down, I think starting in 2019. Now it has started going up again.
