I thought the Palestine crowd were back to Ukraine again post Trump deal?

What a fucking moronic decision given the situation in the world, who the fuck is his PR team?

Israel has mandatory service. Pointing out people served in the military is a bit misleading as it suggests they were seaking out joining the IDF, rather than it being literally the law.

So to be clear I’m extremely pro Palestine and anti Israeli settlements, occupation and genocide. I am in no way a supporter of Israel.
However, I have a few questions.

      1. From what I can gather, this company is a firewall company…..they have an office in Tel Aviv, this is not an occupied territory and they do not provide military software. Are we at a point where nobody can be involved in any company with a base in Israel?

      2. Given conscription is mandatory in Israel wouldn’t every Israeli citizen have an IOF background? Does this mean all of them are tarred with the same brush as current IOF soldiers committing war crimes?

This all feels very shallow at face value, Apple have a huge R&D center in Tel Aviv, I assume none of these activists use iPhones?
I’m not trying to attack all activists at all I attend a lot of the weekly marches myself but this one seems a bit of a stretch.

    5. >Mr O’Driscoll, the keynote speaker, was there to “draw powerful parallels between the world of elite rugby and cyber defence – showing how teamwork, resilience and strategy are just as critical on the digital frontlines as they are on the pitch”

      What corporate HR wank anyway

This is getting into the ridiculous territory now with this self imposed cancellation culture.

From the article to anyone who thinks the connection between this company and the IDF is a bit weak

“Check Point chief executive Nadav Zafrir “established the Israel Defense Forces’ Cyber Command and served as Commander of the elite Unit 8200, retiring as a Brigadier General”, the company’s website notes.

Chief strategy officer Roi Karo served for more than 25 years in the IDF; chief technology officer Jonathan Zanger previously led research and development operations for Unit 8200, the Israeli military intelligence unit; and chief information officer Alex Spokoiny held engineering leadership positions in the Israeli Air Force, according to Check Point’s website.”

Here’s some recent article on Unit 8200

    8. This is the elite in Ireland. And this gobshite is part of that group.
They don’t care about Israel. They don’t care about Palestine. They only care about money.
I’m glad he has been found out though. This guy was once Ireland, and maybe the worlds, best rugby player.
He is still a cunt though.

This shall be the clarion call for the Rugby Dads of Ireland. They respect, or at least tolerate, your right to protest, within limits. But you don’t touch the BOD. I can hear the chorus of Zombie already.
