It’s not like anyone would actually miss it. Modern day Kaliningrad has little in common with beautiful old Königsberg.
I mean, no shit. In any case of hot war, NATO is gonna target Kaliningrad before they even target Belgorod or Kursk.
Issue is, we literally can believe nothing America says right now
I mean, it would be stupid if they didn’t instantly take it over. I’d assume it would be a shared zone between Lithuania & Poland, but in the meantime, it would become a NATO port, likely the Americans or France, Germany or the UK would develop a new military base there so they could resupply the Baltic states. They would likely launch missile attacks from there into Belarus unless Belarus changed allegiance against Russia.
