That’s the problem with making wild promises. Only an idiot makes them and can never keep them.

Reform voters should just spoil their ballots in protest at this terrible performance.

I feel like the contractor rule applies here.

If a contractor gave you a quote wildly lower than the other two, and had no previous projects to show you from their portfolio…would you be shocked when they under deliver?

Now imagine that contractor was heavily involved in a project that *grossly* over promised and under delivered, and *that* was the only project of note in their portfolio. Would you choose them?

That’s the choice people are being presented with here. You can pick one of the main voices of Brexit, or you can pick *literally* anyone else.

    4. If their supporters don’t care, it shows they don’t care about the country.

We have genuine concerns about reform, to steal one of their phrases.

They’re woefully unqualified and will absolutely crash the country if elected. This attitude of “can’t be worse” is ludicrous, it will absolutely get 1000% worse.

This will not penetrate their social media bubble and won’t be shown on the BBC, Farage doesn’t have to worry, he’ll be anointed PM.

Reform voters don’t want anything to work, they want to tear down the government and hand all power to a ‘big daddy’ dictator who can do their thinking for them, just like Putin and Trump.

Farage will just find a way to blame mythical ‘woke people’ and immigrants for Reform’s failures in Kent, and his clueless followers will lap it up and rush to the polls to vote Reform in their own areas.

      >Kemkaran says that, like the Labour Party in national government, she has come into office only to find a black hole in Kent’s finances left by the Tories.

Yeah, the difference is, Labour didn’t run on the lie that the public sector was spending a fortune on Net Zero, equality and diversity and other “woke” initiatives and it would be easy peasy to cut all that nonsense and give everyone tax cuts and unicorns. Now Reform voters in Kent are starting to realise that you conned them, that’s why they’re angry at you.

Wow, even the Telegraph being critical of Reform. They must be a real shambles in Kent.

If I judged a party’s readiness for government based on the performance of my local council I’d be able to argue that Labour should never be anywhere near government. Or should we only judge Reform by this standard?

Listen to LbC on a Saturday morning if you want to get a feel for the absolute stupidity of so many people on this sceptered isle.

Goodness. I just dropped my biscuit in shock at this entirely unpredictable and surprising turn of events.
