Well, like there was 20+ years to make a rocket/cruise missle program that’s more that enough to develop and test your own solution.
Now that would take how much ? 2-3 years ?

Most Americans are dumb, fat and ignorant people that only care about beer, cheeseburgers and football. It goes to show how 250 years of relative stability really stupefies a society. It’s mind boggling how people will argue against their own benefits as long as their president promises no trans in sports, deportation of other races, and suckering boomers into thinking that he can bring back the old 1950s America with the nuclear family and traditional family values.

This is something that need validation I think. “kod źródłowy” (source code) usually refers to the code that is used to build the software and only end result (complied code) is shipped to end users. I imagine that shipping source code to plance/missiles firmware is huge security threat. But source code is not required to use the thing anyway. You don’t have source code of your car software for example.
Sure if somewhere there is condition that says “do not start engines on Sundays” it’s a problem. But at same time including remote killswitch in weapons would be bad for business I can image.
Please learn what source code is.
We can’t edit/add code to anything, it means we can’t add stuff like newer missiles, pods etc. without approval. I’m sure no user except Israel can do that, but they are also doing a lot of stuff locally (Elbit electronics). It’s entirely separate thing from being able to launch stuff that is already available in such systems.

It was obvious from the beginning that we won’t have access to the source code – as per deal made. You talking about Putin in this case is pure propaganda.
Disinformation spread by Onet. The former Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army debunked that myth. The only codes that other armies don’t have are the software’s source code — which is perfectly logical in the context of protecting intellectual property and trade secrets.
Today on Reddit – people with literally no knowledge about coding anything make bold claims with zero support in facts.

That’s why Israel gutted entire US-made avionics from their F35 planed and replaced with their own.
This post’s and article’s titles are misinformation. Onet’s article is referring to ‘source codes’ which means the person who wrote it had absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Obviously no manufacturer will provide access to the source code of whatever software is part of their product as it’s a trade secret, unless they are selling you the technology itself and not only the final product.
As for the codes that are supposedly required to use the equipment – that’s a completely different thing and there has been no proof that such codes even exist. Blaszczak said in the interview not too long ago that there are no such codes that Polish military needs from manufacturer in order to use the equipment, so it’s basically a misinformation to influence the public.
What Poland’s F-35s could do without U.S. authorization
Basic flight: They could take off, fly, and land safely. Modern flight controls are mostly autonomous.
Weapons: They could drop unguided bombs and fire guns—essentially like the WW2 aircraft.
Limited radar and targeting: Without ALIS/ODIN updates or encryption keys, advanced sensor fusion, stealth targeting, and secure communications would be disabled or degraded. Again, like the WW2 aircraft.
80% of the F-35’s value is in its operating systems, and these require American authorisation…..
And yet, by 2035, there will be 800 F-35s in Europe, 25% of all fighting jets.
Every sophisticated high tech weapon system like helicopter, tank, aircraft can be disabled even much easier.
That tech needs much more complicated parts for mission readiness than few bolts and nuts your can make locally. And we don’t have spare parts stocks because that costs lots of money and they don’t look that good on pictures than tanks and jets.
Few dozens of real combat hours with that high tech and we’re out of spare parts needed for weekly maintenance.
That’s the real problem. USA doesn’t need to killswitch that tech. They just won’t send critical parts and ammo and it’s over within a week.
USA are not our allies. Own the stuff stop giving power to get some short-sighted convenience.
Aren’t you karma whores tired of fearmongering? Assuming this is real – if US really were to “pull the plug” then nobody would ever buy their equipment ever again. Surely this is something the Americans want right?
