Yes, winter time is normal time, give me that plz, I don’t want to lose a week or two of sleep every half year in order to adjust to this mess every time.

Every European country agrees and yet this project never passes. Feel free to start your theories, ‘tis Spain’s turn – we tried, we failed during our presidency.

I would prefer instead to ditch the winter time and remain on the summer time. That means more light in the afternoon/evening, when most activities are done. We don’t work in factories that much anymore, so early morning does not matter that much anymore. On the other side, I believe that earlier sunsets and sunrises in the summer would be cruel if we remained on winter time.

The majority is against changing hours, and there is consensus that changing hours only has demerits for public health, but no one agree on the hour we should use.
Personnaly, EST (i.e. +2h on the solar time) means doubling the number of days where I bike to work during the night compared to keeping EWT. Also means most of the morning is during the night in december and january. You can guess I’m not exactly thrilled about giving up on winter hour.

DST was first introduced back in 1916 in the Germany and Austrian-Hungary empires, to save coal in wartime. Coal. This is a bi-annual discussion, eventually someone will understand that.

Isnt Spain in the wrong time zone in the first place?

Am I the only one who prefers time change?
Yes, it might be a tad difficult to adjust in spring. But on the other hand, I have immediately an extra hour of sunlight in the evening for the outdoor activities.
In Autumn, you are able to sleep an extra hour one night. Which always helped me to adjust for shorter sun days.
IMHO, people are arguing about the time change just for the sake of the argument. Just learn to adapt your sleep cycle only once a year (in the spring).
