TIL that like the most famous FCAS and the British FCAS, Sweden’s program is also called FCAS. Either some consultant somewhere pitched the same idea to lots of people and is now rolling in it or else we’re all frightfully unimaginative on this continent.
If Sweden goes hard on developing drone companions for the fighters that are developed by FCAS and GCAP that could be a pretty big win for them tbh. Certainly the UK doesn’t seem to have applied much energy in that direction yet and I wouldn’t be surprised if they just bought one off the shelf.
