Which helps explain why he is so hot to tell Zelensky he should give up The Donbas and denying Ukraine the Tomahawks. He doesn’t care what happens to Ukraine or about defeating Russia. He just wants to claim he ended the war and is a great peacemaker.
Tell him he’ll get the NPP if he gets all of Ukraine’s land back, including Crimea. Hell, offer him Obama’s to sweeten the deal.

That’s the whole reason he was behaving in the first place. He wanted the Nobel prize, now that it’s off the table it’s back to supporting Putin.

Every day he reminds me of my old Texan grandfather. Any phonecall was met trepidation as we knew it wouldn’t be anything less than an hour long affair. My dad would always say how crazy and how much of a liar he was. When I pointed out that his darling Teflon Don was a spitting image of his own father, well, he wasn’t fond of the comparison.
At the end of the day, though, he was a lonely sad old man who had pushed everyone away to minimal obligatory interactions. He dreadfully just needed someone to bullshit back and forth with but was too toxic and fox-pilled to ever have that.
