Ciao a tutti!

And if you would pay in cash it would got rounded up…
The sole reason for this is so that Lidl can officially claim in their marketing campaign that “we discounted 50% of all our products” when in reality, 20% (for example) of those items were reduced by only 0.1 cent.
ludia reaguju na akciove cenovky (zlta, cervena…). bezne biele ani nevnimaju. ak drzis cenu dlhodobo ako akciovu, musis zment cenovku na standardnu (bielu). dalsou zlavou (aj ked len 1 cent), mozes dat opat zltu/cervenu
That is not a discount. LIDL both in Slovakia and Czechia have special graphics for displaying standard prices, which have recently been lowered. These move around in fractions of the original cost, but it still makes the customer both notice it more often, and it also can build favour in customers who see this as the “store cares about us by not just raising but also lowering prices when they can”. The “Lacnejšie” means “Cheaper”, and it’s used only in this way on price displays.
The funniest thing about these first gingerbread is that about 2 years it was always 0.98€ and few days ago went up and they were €1.19, and now, somehow they have this discount with this “previous price”, before corona they were 49 cents
How can you resist such bargain? Buy it in large quantities!
Idk, why are they still doing it, maybe it worked first time, but now people have discount blindness. I can’t even spot the bargain, because it’s just visual smog to me.
