Grazie HATEEE THEMMM!

I used to have a looooot of these bugs. They like to be in humid places. I cleaned everything, threw everything and I put a small amount of baking soda in the cupboard where I store the food so it can absorb humidity. Now I don’t have any of thee bugs

Weevils. They lay their eggs in the rice grains so likely they were already there when you bought the rice.

Rice still edible but just wash them well. Internet says to put in the freezer to kill the eggs.

To stop the infestation, they say to throw out infested food, make sure containers are airtight, and to put bay leaves as it deters them.

The English word for these is weevils. They can eat through plastic, nothing is safe. You need to throw EVERYTHING they could eat away even if it is in a sealed plastic container, and also get a chemical aerosol which you deploy in the room.

I’m really sorry this happened to you. It was more than 10 years ago and I never want to see them again.
