I am glad to hear that the 39th Marine Brigade got their equipment.
But I really think that ‘young Sergeant Red’ would be well advised to use some kind of hearing protection when working with an electrical hammer drill in a confined space. This kind of hearing strain at a young age takes its toll later on, for example, in the form of tinnitus, as I can say from my own experience…
And yes, of course, soldiers are sometimes exposed to much worse acoustic stress under war conditions, but that’s still no reason not to protect your own hearing if and when it is possible.
I love Marines, especially Ukrainian Marines. We’re all brothers and sisters.
