      Dave Cleary is nothing more than murdering scum. He should be spending the rest of his life in jail. Instead, the serial killer gets to walk free.

      Can we scrap the phrase “British Justice” as there is no such fucking thing.

      Reminder that not guilty doesn’t mean someone didn’t do something it means that it didn’t reach the standard of beyond a reasonable doubt for the crime(s) that is accused. An example would be for instance in this case, could the prosecution prove that it was this specific soldier who killed the people alleged. If there was a lack of due diligence in evidence collection or straight up malfeasance of the RUC at the time it might not reach that standard. Eye witnesses can be very convincing but it has been more than 50 years so a lot of the people involved would have already passed or maybe aren’t fit to testify due to age and stuff.

      Looking forward to all our brave patriots who were rioting the last few nights absolutely decrying this… Oh wait, they walked hand in hand with them 2 months ago.

      This makes FFFG’s recent total capitulation on the UK’ “Legacy” agenda (creating a now agreed two tier system of justice where ex Soldiers recieve special protection and privileges) even more despicable.

      It seems to have passed many by in recent weeks but I hope it will now be given more scrutiny and the government challenged on what they have done in selling out victims of British State terror.

      Heartbreaking for the families. I cannot imagine the kind of fortitude it takes to continue to pursue justice in the maw of the British state.

      What was the soldier accused of doing? Was he accused of a war crime or was he following orders?

      Absolute disgrace. David Cleary and a fellow soldier had a “mobile torture chamber” and used to pull catholics off the streets and torture them.

      He’s nothing more than a sadistic murdering scumbag and he should have been locked away a long time ago.

      This country needs such a reckoning with it’s own bloody history and a mature conversation on the violence that brought about our freedom

      judge said there was no such thing as “collective guilt”.

      100% guarantee that if 12-15 irish citizens intentionally fired at guns at unarmed people, all 15 would be convicted of 1st degree murder and the defence of “everyone bullets except mine were the lethal bullets” would be laughed out of court

      Was sad to read this, the judge said there wasnt enough proof. Next up will be the Court of Appeal so its not over yet. I hope the families get justice
