Is this part of the eliminating wasteful spending that they were twatting on about?

It’s **Nottinghamshire County Council**, for those who don’t want to click the link the same council that banned local journalists from reporting (although I *believe* they’re now allowed to report again).

    3. To be fair, they’re not spending £75,000 on the flags themselves.

That cost includes the traffic management and equipment to hang them. Most of the money is being wasted on manpower, temporary traffic lights and cherry-pickers.

I’m sure they got a good deal on the actual flags.

Not sure why they’re bothering. They could just let all the “patriots” put them up for free.

They are only interested in performative nonsense and their followers will lap this up with glee.

Grifters are gonna grift. Almost guaranteed the company printing the flags will have reform links.

    7. We are struggling to keep roadsfrom being thr lunar surface etc.

And they spend 75k on flags…half a mil on a building that is beyond useful lifespan.

      Grow up.

We need essential services. Not nice sofa cushions.

Can’t just grab a few free ones from some lampposts?

This is the least shocking news story I can conceive of.

Man thank goodness they’re the party of spending efficiency, otherwise this could have been twice as much.

It’s what the locals voted for. Let them see huge increases in their council tax to cover the cost of their jingoistic flag shagging

£75k for the flags, how much to actually put them up? it was £250k to take them down last month

Is this the Reform-led council that’s planning to raise council tax by 10%?

Just keep hanging flags until the cost of living reduces that will work..
