Misschien wel goed dat we eens koppig durven zijn. Andere landen lopen niet hetzelfde risico als België mochten we dat geld vrijgeven.
Maybe all those other nations never really wanted to go through with it and they can now use De Wever as a scapegoat.
In dit geval zeer blij dat De Wever premier is en niet Decroo. Die had Belgie direct verkocht voor een of ander vet betaalde job int buitenland
Stel u voor dat je ne Connor of zo’n ecolo sujet naar dit soort onderhandelingen moet sturen. Ben blij dat dit onze premier in zo’n situatie
Politico is nu niet echt een neutrale media bron maar goed.
De Wever heeft absoluut gelijk, als we het doen moeten er serieuze garanties komen van alle landen en die zijn er voor alle duidelijkheid nog niet.

Who are we to go against the whole of EU wishes as such a small country?
I know about our countries fiscal image and trust, I understand the NVA needs to counter the far right… But sometimes you just have to do the difficult things because they’re the right thing to do.
Also, this won’t scare countries away from swift. They’ll do the math and understand russia just overplayed their hand and threatened Europe just a bit too much with nuclear annihilation.
Alle mensen die argumenteren dat dit “het einde van de huidige financiële wereld” zou betekenen zijn puur aan het zeveren, indertijd is tijdens de 2de wereldoorlog ook een hoop geld, kunst en goud van de Duitsers is beslag genomen, hier is ook niet heel de financiële markt door ineen gezakt.
Het is toch vrij logisch dat er eindelijk na jaren gedacht wordt om dit geld eens te gaan gebruiken voor Oekraïne, zij zijn mensenlevens aan het verliezen tegen Rusland, niet wij. En heeft Rusland daar een probleem mee? Simpele oplossing, bol het ginder af.
Maar De Bever wilt eens moeilijk doen, want ochottekes; hij had getekend op de belastingen van de interesten voor zen begroting in orde te maken..

The headline is ridiculous, this loan is essentially expropriation without any good legal basis. De Wevers demands are perfectly reasonable (rare case since i usually despise his policies)
Wel grappig dat hij zich verdedigde met ‘dat gebeurde ook in WOII niet’.
Jaja, we weten allemaal dat er in zijn kringen nogal wat heimwee is naar wat hun Vlaemsche gelijkgestemden deden in die periode. 😉
