[mt.rubr] Un uomo russo, Semen Kuksov, condannato nel Regno Unito per aver riciclato oltre 14 milioni di euro, ha acquistato passaporti maltesi nel 2022 attraverso il sistema del “passaporto d’oro”. L’UE ha dichiarato illegale il sistema maltese di vendita di passaporti, e Malta afferma di averlo sostituito con un nuovo sistema di “cittadinanza per merito”.
