What a complete joke our “justice” system has become.

    2. This article (and the last article about this on the BBC) doesn’t mention that the driver (Hashim Ijazuddin) didn’t have anything to do with the blackmail and had just offered Hussain a lift. He was completely an innocent party and was driven off the road into a tree and then burnt alive. I do think it’s wrong that it’s not mentioned.

      > “The judge did not make enough allowance for the fact that this appellant [Mahek Bukhari] was an immature 22-year-old at the time of these offences.”

How is this relevant for a double murder? Some crimes are so severe that they should have no allowance for age.

“the sentence had not taken into account her young age.”

She was 22 at the time of sentencing, the two men she murdered were both 21.

Where’s the justice for them? They weren’t spared on account of their young age, they won’t get another chance. Simply disgusting, the judiciary in this country have seriously lost touch.

How, and why has this happened.

I didn’t think the sentence was bad in the slightest – it was even slightly too lenient for the crime.

She was found guilty of **murder** which is *not* an easy charge to bring in the UK.

To be “cut” to 26 for a driving death charge isnt as shocking as some of the very weak in my opinion sentences driving deaths normally get

    7. That’s utter bollocks. I remember watching the documentary about that. That was pre-meditated murder, regardless of age. Cunts the lot of them

I mean it’s cut from 31 yrs to 27 yrs so it’s not like she’s out on the streets tomorrow.  It’s still a life changing prison sentence.

She’ll be nearly 50 before she’s free.  It’s still (rightly) a very severe punishment for a very severe crime.  More years behind bars than most murderers even with the reduction.

…what? 😵 when did this become a thing? Is this like free school bus travel? You now also get half sentences aged 16-22 aswell? If they’re that immature maybe not vote or anything I guess. Maybe not drive either make it all 25.
