Ciao!

L’anno scorso ho fatto tutto correttamente e ho ricevuto i miei soldi in ottobre.

How do you expect us to know if the authorities themselves do not know?

Anyways, just keep an eye on the portal once it’s processed the month of your return will be visible.

    In the next step bro

    “Betaling / terugbetaling”

Most likely next month or december

  3. It takes a while. Generally I would not count on using it for something soon

Like it says on the screenshot, anytime before June 30th 2026. Some years they’re fast and some years they’re very slow, there’s really no predicting unfortunately…

Last date you could get it back is in August (two months after your “aanslagbiljet”. It depends on when they get to your file. They try to prioritize returns though. We’ve received ours in October, November and January on different years. You just have to be patient. There’s no use in asking them.

Last year they sent me the details after filing and said they’d send the final calculation by end us summer, never got the confirmation and they finally paid out in December. This year same story, except they’re now saying they will send the final calculation in June of 2026…so payout end of next year? Really annoying and disgusting. If we have to pay, we don’t get 2 years time to do so but they can do it to us no problem. If this trend continues, we’re going to get tax refunds for 2026 somewhere in 2028 if not later.

Used to be that many people had to file by June/July and anyone using an accountant could wait until October. Since a few years they’ve modified this so that everyone (regardless of accountant) has to file by June/July, unless they’ve got specific “complex” income components (foreign salary, self-employed income), then they still get until October. So there’s a LOT more declarations having to be processed at the same time so for many people it’ll take longer, while people who use accountants but have “simple” declarations might get their bill months earlier than before.

Probably everything’s fine and you’re just in the queue for automatic processing/printing. If you want to double check, call 025725757 with direct code 17001 (NL) or 17002 (FR) and ask them if they can see if there’s anything else holding it up.

Also pro tip: they’re generally processed chronologically so if you don’t get a simplified proposal, submit early May and you’ll get your bill August/September probably.

Edit: just saw “they don’t know”: then it’s just in the queue. Patience is all you can have now, but it’ll get sorted in the coming months.
