Home Office has no choice while claims are being processed.
Tories slowed/stopped the processing then moved people awaiting claims into now ex-hotels under the taxpayers cost, to no doubt tory mates and donors who charge the taxpayer a fortune, no doubt with massive penalty clauses if terminated early.
Tories than ran to their friendly press and gaslight swathes of the population that it wasn’t the torys creating to begin with.
Until the backlog is cleared PEOPLE need to be housed while claims are being processed.
The contracts and deals for each hotel need to be audited to find if tendered correctly, or if it was like PPE where it was fast tracked to mates/donors while handing off billions to private sector again with no real serenity or ‘value for money’
