His biggest talent has always been deflectiing whent he writing is on the wall. Normally it comes out as some vitirol against which ever oppostion party is questioning him & he farms outrage. When the pressure is within the party he’ll need to really show some expert level spin to come out on top but I think this is really gonna be the end of his leadership of FFG.
Simon Harris must be really thankful that Martin is taking all the headline space because he has his own failed campaign to answer for.

There’s less time separating sf from the provisional IRA than there was separating the FFG from the ra of the 20s in 1969 but we can’t let sf near the levers of power.
Popularity plunge yada yada, I have wondered what it would _actually_ require for FF or FG to haemorrhage enough support to drop them to single digit percentage parties; seems like no matter how inept and do-nothing they become, they get the nod
