And yet we still rely so much on gas, which isn’t nationalised so wholesale prices are high thanks to the likes of Germany over-relying on Russian gas. So much so that our bills are STILL going up despite massive amounts of renewable capacity.

[Right now](https://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/) we’re running on nearly 48% wind, 18% solar (quite astonishing, solar capacity has rocketed in recent years), with 10% nuclear and 1% hydro. Nearly 80% of our energy generation producing no emissions at all.

Yet that 9% that is creating emissions (gas, and biomass from Drax) will go up a lot when the wind dies down and it goes dark.

If we get a cold calm winter we’re going to be relying massively on gas and that’s going to cost a fucking fortune.

Surely the customer will see this reflected in their bills… right?

Can someone tell the energy companies, because my bill has been accidentally rising year on year. 😏

But no one noticed these savings. In 10 years time energy prices will be probably double what they are today. They will never fall.

Your energy bill will only fall if you use less. Much less.

    5. Can’t wait for my share of all these savings. It’ll really help me to pay for my sky high Winter Gas and Electric bills
