I thought they had to do prison time here before deportation?
He’s now free. Then return without punishment here again to repeat offend. Congratulations I guess.
What does this actually mean? Is he now a free man in Ethiopia despite not completing his full sentence in the UK or is there a reciprocal sentence to be completed in his home country?
If the former, it doesn’t seem right for his early release for deportation as it seems it was done for political expediency rather than justice. He would still be a danger to the public in Ethiopia.
That picture of him scratching his head baffled after he was let out is hilarious, he doesn’t know where to go after the staff just told him he’s free to go and go ride the train.
This is good news though it begs the question, why can’t more/all the deportations happen this quickly?
I don’t think anyone comes out of this with any credit. The Home Secretaries comments this morning, bigging up hateful language, don’t help either. The truth is, these people come from cultures and environments so different to ours, they’re bound to cause problems. They shouldn’t be here.
