…? They tested a new delivery methode not a new nuke. Thought that was pretty obvious no?

When you found out that your nuclear weapons were basically a Potemkin village.

I’m not even sure that they have working nuclear weapons. Maybe all the money went into vodka.

And after further analysis it seems Kremlin was testing fireworks for new years…

*Instructions nuclear: test the unclear weapons.*

I dont ever trust the Russians, especialy when they are lying

This is a very misleading article title. They simply admit they did not test nuclear detonation. The missile is nuclear powered and capable. They tested a launch but not a nuclear detonation. Read the article before posting.

They test the rockets capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Didn’t read the article but the title is kinda stupid.

There was never any suggestion whatever that they tested a nuclear warhead, this was always just a delivery vehicle test. They test those literally all the time, the only novelty was that it was a new and different vehicle.

Very misleading title. Par for the course.

And if one actually bothers to read the original sources and, heaven forbid, use their brain, it becomes pretty clear there were no *nuclear tests* at all – since, you know, no nuclear detonation took place. Testing delivery systems is, quite obviously, an entirely different matter. But the brave Western journalists first invented their own sensational headlines, and then heroically defeated them.

We knew this from the start, only some journalists and Americans got (most likely intentionally) confused.

If russians really truly test a nuclear weapon, we all will know about it, because the news all over the world would tell us about the “Horrific accident: russian nuclear test failed, bomb detonated before launch, vaporizing thousands – huge mushroom cloud visible, radiation levels high!”
Im just fooling around. But really, who wants to test a nuclear warhead, when everyone knows that Vova and Dima have been stealing the money appointed to maintenance for decades and spent them all on luxury villas, yachts, women and drugs…. I know I wouldn’t.

wait so they just straight up lied about conducting nuclear tests or was it like some kind of conventional explosion they were trying to pass off as nuclear

His claims were BS anyway. Most nuclear power engines are steam engines. Reactors produce heat, turn water to steam, use steam to generate electricity or whatever.
Surely there is no missile flying around with endless nuclear powered steam engine.
There are other experimental nuclear powered engines but are basically for space craft on long missions. Nothing practical for a missile the way Putin described it.
