So the most fearful is Türkiye and least one is Sweden; it seems correct.

Based Poland with the lowest % for the climate change. What an absurd thing is to think that climate change is the major threat to the country.

    3. Pleasant_Abroad_9681 on

We all got our priorities wrong.
Infectious diseases and climate change are much bigger threats than anything else on the list.

    4. BadgerOfDoom99 on

Pretty weird that the biggest killer (infectious disease) is the least feared.

    5. Spread of disinformation online.
Looking at the chart with questionable coloring of the buckets… well…

    6. Either I’m stupid or this table. I didn’t know the percentages could be above 100%

    7. RiseUpAndGetOut on

The UK, who had the highest covid deaths, see infectious disease as the lowest threat 🤦

That 66 in climate change for the Netherlands seems pretty low, considering their country

Lmao based Greece, we don’t care about none of that and can barely afford to eat but you wanna ask us about infectious disease and misinformation online when 98% of the country agrees that our entire traditional media system is corrupt lmao

Results over 65% is much assumed to be “everybody, essentially.” Because there will always be extremes and outliers, 11% if I remember right. Now its over 2/3rds of people in Europe who think disinformation is dangerous. Great.

Now what does each respondant *mean* when they say they’re concerned about disinformation?

    11. Lol @ the fear for spreading disinformation online, meanwhile people share literal lies on social media like their lives depend on it and which often can be disproven with a quick Google search.

    12. Interesting. In cirrent politics and policy… I would say the order of attention is aproximately:

Climate > terrorism > global economy > disease > misinformation.

Its hard to say though. Misinformation gets a lot of political attention, but policies barely exist.

Us dutchies should be a little more concerned about infectious diseases, having one of the highest pop. densities and all…

Love how the statistics contradict the Orbán regime’s heavily pushed (fake ass) narrative

Spread of disinformation online? A fear? Sounds like someone has a solution looking for a problem.

    16. cosmicdicer on

So out of the european countries that have actively been victims of terrorist attacks and even pretty recently, only France seems to worry about terrorism

    17. For Poland, let me bring up one statistics that show the scale of disinformation Poland is targeted with:

After the Russian drone incursion into Poland from September 9-10, it’s been estimated that more materials online pointed at Ukraine rather than Russia for the one that is responsible for the incident.

Interesting how Turkey is paranoid compared to the rest of Europe when they are the ones being spicy in NATO

    19. potatolulz on

Turkey, do you have some disease problem that we should know about? 😀

I can’t see “trans people” anywhere. Looks like propaganda does not work deep enough.

Makes the United Kingdom look far more chill than it feels we are.

    22. SignalButterscotch73 on

      From UK.

Disinformation in mainstream media is bigger than all of them for me.

That twat Nigel Farage gets far too much media time to spread his bulllshit and its clearly having an effect with ReformUK doing well in polls.

I feel in context of most numbers being above 50, the super-lows are much more interesting than the peaks. Why are Germany and Sweden of all countries so unafraid of diseases? Sweden I even kinda understand, they had their unique reaction to covid and it worked out quite well in the end, but Germany being even lower? 😀
