Brexit means brexit.
I mean, it’s literally what they voted for.
Maybe they should have voted differently or have a plan b.
Even when the UK was in the EU going to the UK was annoying as hell with biometrics and shit. So this feels about right.
Depending on the flight, the day and if there is a technical failure the all passports queue can absolutely be faster.
I’m British with Polish wife and child. When we fly to Malta, Scilly, spain w/e its mostly Polish people coming home or people from those nations coming to visit Poland. So in the all passports queue is just me and a few Ukrainians we go through faster than digital. Even though digital is faster its more people trying to get through.
If i’m flying from the UK its 50/50 as there are so many Polish people coming and going to the UK both as tourists and as people who live and work in the UK that all passports queue can be filled with other Brits but usually there’s a healthy balance of other EU citizens .
When I flew back from Malta a few months ago the e-gates at Krakow airport broke and they all had to join the back of the queue of all passports. until they then got it working again but people past a certain point found that if they turned back they were suddenly at the end of a queue again.
Brexit sucks but spending slightly longer at passport control isn’t an issue.
The news system that lets us use them again isn’t launching until next April and even then it will be at the mercy of how soon every airport upgrades their systems.

What is the expectation now? The British are not a member of the EU anymore. So they get the same treatment that everyone else gets.

Passport queues are a mild irritation, regardless of what queue you’re in. The only people that post about them are generally the Karen types or those that infrequently travel and have little understanding of procedures.
