Alcuni commenti erano piuttosto aggressivi. Quindi, i migliori professionisti tedeschi semplicemente non capiscono le statistiche, o ci sono altri motivi per questo "Non venire in Germania" moda passeggera?

Don’t be distraught by a “Don’t come to Germany” – Reddit is a bubble, and Reddit Germany is a bubble. And this bubble is mostly working in Tech which is currently seeing a recession. But as a Doctor, you’re far from that. Doctors make more bank than 99% of techs ever will (My guesstimation).

A lot of things *are* wrong, but the doomerism is not only getting boring but is a pure waste of time. As a doctor, you would mostly not even be part of the social systems many (rightly) complain about.

Have you already visited Germany for some time to check out where you want to live? My personal favorite is and always will be Hamburg, whose weather can be compared to London .. except less rainy.

“Average post-tax” does a lot of work here. Does this include pension and health insurance costs? Is it mean or median? Genuinely asking.

    Based on what metrics ?
It’s very rare to cross 130k€ if you’re in tech idk about other industries

People love to complain on Germany and not seeing that’s one of the best countries in the world to live in…

Many “Normalverdiener” have no idea about what is actually possible to earn in Germany with the right qualifications, the right connections or simply being in the right place at the right time.

Germans being extremely reluctant to talk about their income “helps” in this regard.

    >sharing my interest in moving from the UK to Germany as a qualified doctor.

People love to complain (and i am guilty of this with my own country), especially when there exists one or two countries where higher salaries exist, without realizing that they are still better off than 99% of the world, and the fact that theres more to quality of life than just how high your salary is. Also, cost of living in Germany is relatively low compared to salaries.

Dont let the comments discourage you.

    ‘Top incomes’ not average salary.
A doctor is not a ceo. The salaries are good but not sure they are really the top earners mentioned here.
I know teachers who earn more.
