      Daily Mail ran screaming headlines last night that it was.

      They won’t miss a chance to whip up a frenzy.

      So not terror related but 2 guys stabbed 9 people on a train.

      Gang activity? But odd the police say they have no clues about the motive

      Both born in the UK.

      Looks pretty damning for those (including mods on certain other UK subs) who were rushing to turn this tragedy, and the fact that details weren’t immediately released, into a big conspiracy in furtherance of certain political views.

      So what were the motives of these two gentlemen then?

      One person I can understand, there are many people with mental illnesses, but two seems rather coordinated.

      They have said it is too early to speculate and that it would be unhelpful for people to do so.

      It is entirely possible that materials relating to terrorism will emerge through the investigation. It is also possible other evidence will emerge suggesting something else. It is also possible we just never find out.

      I’ve been absolutely amazed by the actual policing response in both this and the synagogue attack recently. 8 minutes here from the first 999 call to arrests being made on a freaking train. 7 minutes for Manchester as well

      At this point, we don’t know whether or not the two who have been arrested were acting together OR fighting against each other as part of some confrontation between rival groups.
