I mean this was rather obvious.
But the fact that we’re here is going to create an additional layer of unease anytime another tragedy occurs.

They’ve fallen a long way.
Anyone else find it fucking weird that you have people sitting and hoping that the ethnicity of literal murderers and terrorists is someone on “the other team” so they can bang their drum?
I mean, this also means that if the police don’t very quickly release this information, the far right will have even more fuel for conspiracy theories that it MUST be a particular ethnicity of offender.
Seems like it is bound to bite them in the arse.
If he’s a black guy they’ll still make a big deal out of it.
They’ve gone mask-off to the extent where they’re Othering anyone who isn’t white British. Its not about immigrants anymore. The whole “a pig could be born in a stable but its not a horse, its still a pig” argument is their go to argument now.
These people think that Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford shouldn’t be an England player. Their reaction to Rishi Sunak and Badenoch being Tory leader was “WTF!?” They think that a black guy being cast in Doctor Who is utter madness…
They already release the gender in all cases so why not the ethnicity too? If releasing ethnicity is racist, then they must also be sexist for releasing their gender.
Thankfully they didn’t ID the innocent guy who was arrested otherwise his life would have been ruined.
Half of Reddit was doing this. It’s disgusting behaviour that social media encourages tbh which ends up with people wrongly accused and attacked
