The village of Andriivka in Synelnykove district, Dnipropetrovsk region, is located 20 kilometers from the front line. On September 12, authorities announced a mandatory evacuation of families with children, as Russian FPV drones have started flying over the village while nearby settlements are attacked almost daily with guided aerial bombs.
**“All my friends have left, I won’t see them again”**
Seven-year-old Kyrylo says he used to have about 30 friends in Andriivka, but now only one remains, who is also planning to evacuate.
>*”We used to run around here, play games like tag, tag, pirates. We chased after cars. Now I only have one friend left. Everyone else has left. I don’t know what to do next. My dad is finishing up work, and then we’ll leave too,”* he said.
Kyrylo said that during shelling, he hides with his grandmother in the kitchen, as far away from the windows as possible.
>*”When it hits nearby, it gets really scary. I call my grandma, tell her, and then we run to the kitchen and hide where there’s no glass,”* the boy says.
Kyrylo’s grandmother, Liubov, said she has lived in the village for over 40 years, but now she is left with nothing, forced to leave her home due to the Russian advance.
>*”I have tears from morning to night. Leaving your home and having nowhere to go. We’ll take the cat, the soldiers will feed the dogs. It’s sad, but where can we go? I’d like to return. Unfortunately, there’s nowhere to go.”*
**“We’ll endure until the very end”**
Local resident Ivan said Russian FPV drones have begun flying over Andriivka. One drone even hit a farmer’s combine. Russian forces attack neighboring villages with guided aerial bombs almost daily.
>*”Both at night and during the day they strike. Vyshneve has already been destroyed. There are no people there. In Bratske, three people died – two young parents, three children left behind. And one woman fled to her daughter. Got killed by the wave,”* he said.
Ivan added that people are actively evacuating from Andriivka. His children and grandchildren are already in a safe place, but he himself is not planning to leave yet.
>*”Everyone is leaving, leaving, leaving. But we will endure until the very end. If it hits, it hits. And what? Where can we go? All the cities are being destroyed. I need money to rent a truck. I can’t just leave everything I’ve worked for here.”*

I live on the same land and home my father built, next to my great-great grandfathers house he had built in 1865. I am a senior and do not plan to move. BUT, if I could not save my home from an advancing enemy, me and my two cats would retreat. If I stay in my home then I become entertainment for the enemy to torture or kill. And I would also be an obstacle for my own team trying to kill the enemy. Perhaps it would be better to fall back and then join the effort to take it back.
Russian bastards love to terrorize children
