Translation: A derogatory inscription and reference to betrayal that appeared in front of a grammar school in Poprad, where Prime Minister Robert Fico was scheduled to speak on Friday, are now causing repercussions. A student of the school, who reportedly wrote on the sidewalk that “Fico is a traitor,” was allegedly taken by the police to the local station for questioning. The student published his experience with the police and interrogation. Politicians have already responded to the situation.

Originally, the Prime Minister was supposed to hold a discussion with students at the grammar school in Poprad on Friday. He also visited the local hospital in the city. While the school programme was cancelled, the hospital visit was not. However, before his meeting with students, the school dealt with an unpleasant situation — on the road in front of the school there appeared inscriptions saying: “Fico is a traitor”, “Enough of Fico” and “How does Putin’s c… taste”. The school staff managed to remove the last of these inscriptions, but not the first one.

To cover the one inscription they couldn’t remove, they laid a carpet over it and partly hid it with a car.

“‘I will surely come soon to this grammar school in Poprad,’ announced the Prime Minister Fico. Responding to the fact that some parents and students disagreed with such a discussion, he stated that we have a democracy and people have different opinions.”

The student (a 5th-year of the bilingual grammar school in Poprad), named Michal, is the one who allegedly wrote the insulting message using chalk on the path in front of the school building: “Fico is a traitor”. He also wrote “Enough of Fico”, which regularly appears at anti-government protests, and drew a heart in the colours of Ukraine. According to his account, while he was writing, the school principal filmed him and told him she would file a criminal complaint for spreading hatred. Afterwards, he was reportedly taken by police for questioning.

He told the portal Korzár that the police officers were very accommodating, human and understanding. “So I already have the police questioning behind me. Big shout-out to the police from the Poprad central station, who took me out of class but were nice, understanding and lenient, and I’m once again (relatively) a free person,” the student said on social media. He added that if the Prime Minister came to the city again and visited the grammar school, he would have many questions for him: “Why does he think we are his enemies and why did he make enemies out of us?” he stated. After about an hour and a half he returned to his lessons. “I just wrote with chalk, all of it could be washed off, so the only thing I’m facing is a fine of 33 euros supposedly for public disorder, because I used a vulgarism,” claims the student Michal

I honestly don’t know what was that alcoholic traitor thinking was going to happen when he tries to organize his bullshit meeting in a high school. He should try some nursing home next time.

I think this student will have a place in future politics.

The police in any country should talk to teenagers who damage public property. Let them write whatever they want on the walls of their own homes. The only reason why the local hypocrites support him here is political. If a student in Ukraine had written the same about Zelensky with the same outcome, people here would be saying something different.

The police are always the first to serve dictators as good as they can, and attack anybody for them. Fuck the traitor Fico, and fuck the Slovac police!
