Serious question: Can we really fight disinformation when algorithms push trolls and farms for engagement?
„Fight disinformation“ like the disinformation that von der Leyen did something Wong that’s a lie. /s
But all joking aside, such organizations or institutions don’t really serve the fight against disinformation; they serve the fight against unpopular disinformation. Disinformation that benefits their own side isn’t combated. Don’t believe that the European Union or any institution will do anything objective here.

Why spend hundreds of millions setting up this ministry when banning tiktok solves 80% of the problem… Im not saying facebook/insta and youtube aint bad but there is a fruid hanging lower than an 80 yo’s scrotum you can grab.

Forcing musk and Zuckerberg into actively monitoring their networks would be a massive start. Would gladly live without Facebook Instagram and Twitter if it meant the Nazi Russians couldn’t spread their filthy politics with ease.
