    What comes across to me is that amongst most of the parties there weren’t a whole lot of people rushing to put their name into the hat.

    This is the same as every political party and organisation in Ireland. They’ll probably pin the blame internally on some random staff member who happened to be sharpening a pencil near Gavin at one point. Leaders never take blame. They delegate it to someone else.

    No one cares. Any review just prolongs something that only damages the party. Hold ranks, stop feeding the story and move on.

    What does this matter? It’s totally irrelevant. Doesn’t build a single house, doesn’t fix education, transport, power or water.

    Meaningless political twaddle that frankly should be buried on page 9.
