How can this insanity be real? The politicians pushing this are now pretty much terrorists openly attacking EU citizens at this point.
Tbh, GDPR probably hampers the development of AI in Europe. It’s a balance to find between privacy and not lagging behind the US and China forever. Whether you like it or not, AI is there to stay and will probably change our societies in ways that we can’t yet imagine.
Oppressive regulations have been known to prevent the EU from being able to compete properly with China and the US. I want GDPR to stay but it can maybe be reworked.
