Pretty much the only thing that is cheaper in the US though. It is kept artificially cheap because American society and infrastructure is utterly dependent on driving and gas prices are a political tool. It’s the bread in their *bread and circuses* and the economy would collapse with European fuel prices.

As one of the biggest oil nations im confused as a norwegian.
Yeah, as an electric car user I care very little, the strategy should be:
1) Build out a large charging network so everybody can use electric
2) once this is ready drive up the price of petrol by 20% a year through taxes
3) give deductions to a few exceptions to be able to use it (airlines, etc…)
